Why does a car skid? In this show I discuss the importance of Friction, what ice and rain affect how we drive. Friction doesn't always just act backwards (centripetal force), and it can also act on objects which aren't moving (statics friction). The second part of the show we have guest Zain, a 3rd year pharmacy student, join me for a discussion on science careers.
This show was first broadcast on Thursday 22nd March 2018 from 3-5pm on 93.5 Unity FM
I seem to be missing the audio for the first part of this show on Friction & Circular Motion. When I find it, I shall add it below also.
Our second prerecorded show was with Kit from Aspire4u. A social entrepreneur, a food scientist and a teacher, Kit is a real people's person. Hear about his unique journey into his social entrepreneurial ventures, how food undergoes sound tests (I did not realise this was a thing!), how mindsets are just as important as career choices and also his food tips!
His show was broadcasted on Saturday 13th Jan at 5pm. Catch up on the audio below:
Below is the video we mentioned on the radio about smelling fear! It's fascinating!
Science with Syd is the radio show hosted by the one and only Syd!
